2 Jan 2002 -- Opening of the Hobley.com extension site.... The Hobley.com Community. This is where all Hobley.com family members and friends can apply for membership to. Once you are authorized to enter the secure community you may share in the interactive community where you can view, read and post in the many Message Boards, Photo Albums, Chat Room, Recipe Books, Want Ads, For Sale Ads, Chat Room, Links, Calendar, Recipe Books and much, much more.... Within the last few years...

	20 Feb 2001 -- I have to apologize to all of you for not having the time lately to update the site. Family, Friends and this Site have been on my mind for some time. I have been in school full time for the last several months and have also been balancing my new job, family time and studying the best I can for now. I am still looking for volunteers to assist in keeping site content up to date. If you know of anyone please let me know. Your assistance would be appreciated.

	15 Oct 2000 -- Two New Hobley's Contact Hobley.com for more information this weeken d. One of them brings a picture of The Margaret Hobley. Margaret Hobley is a ship built in 1868 and remained in trade until the second World War. The ship was once piloted by Captain Thomas Hobley who commanded the ship when it was sailing between America and Europe. ~~With approval we hope to be posting its picture soon. Why Hobley.com?

Welcome to Hobley.com your presence on the web. I (David Don Hobley, Traveler of the US (Long Story)) have begun work on this site for several reasons. The first is a longing to do something for the family being that the Military has drawn me apart for many years. The second is to make an attempt to trace our roots to benefit everyone! And the third is to make an attempt at bringing together those who are interested in a common goal of building a historical and functional site that we can all share with our families and friends. I am currently using Broderbund Family Tree Maker to build our family tree and can use all the help that I can get! I will be building a newsletter and will be asking for assistance and volunteers to assist with different areas of making this happen! I hope to hear from everyone soon with any type of feedback, good or bad! Take Care,
